From Thursday 5th to Sunday 8th of June we will be welcoming the Bishop of Sherborne, Graham Kings for a four day mission. Bishop Graham will be kept pretty busy visiting Carter School in Hamworthy, helping behind the counter at No34, engaging in a pub discussion and attending services on Sunday 8th, Pentecost Sunday.
A key event during his time with us is a conversation and discussion on “Britain: a Christian nation?” . This event is designed to give an opportunity for people, Christian and non-Christian, to engage with a live issue.
Alongside Bishop Graham we have invited:
Cllr Philip Eades, former mayor of Poole and Parliamentary candidate for the Liberal Democrats
David Warden, Chair of Dorset Humanists
Each will have an opportunity to give their view and listen to the views of those there.
The event is on Friday 6th June 7.30-9.30pm at the Custom House (top floor), The Quay,
